The Important Book
This is a mentor text called "The Important Book." We will be using this book to practice patterns of English. Listen to the book and talk with your student about the details of an object. Then, write about it!
United States Regions
The fourth graders will be working on a social studies project about the regions of the United States. The ELL group will be studying this region. Please look over this website and discuss the different parts of the Midwest region. They will be studying what states are in their region, the geography, largest cities and water ways, physical features, culture, music, and religion. Just click on the words below:

Our next book is about describing animal feet. The student will learn about the different types of animal feet and learn the English words for them. Review the book below with your students. The words that describe the different animal feet are: furry feet, sticky feet, webbed feet, clawed feet, sharp feet, scaly feet, flippers, super big feet, soft padded feet, hoofed feet, pawed feet, gripping feet, and three toed feet.Students are learning about plurals through this mentor text.
